FOUNDATION MAKEUP TIPS

  1. For a great makeover you must start with the right foundation. Whereas eye shadow, lipstick, and blush accent the face, it is the foundation that sets the tone for a woman's appearance. foundations are all yellow-based.
  2. If you are like most women, you have yellow-based skin and must wear a yellow-based foundation. Foundations are available in cream, liquid, or dual activ (powder and foundation in one). Test your foundation on the jaw line or forehead.
  3. Foundation shades "jump" equally. On your jaw line, apply the shade you believe to be closest to your skin tone. Apply the next lighter shade above and the next darker shade below. The shade that disappears into your skin, is the correct shade for your complexion.
  4. Before buying a concealer or foundation, test the color on the inside of your wrist. The skin here is unblemished and will give you an idea on how the color will look on your face.
  5. Apply foundation after you have done your eye make-up. This way you will be able to fix any mascara or eyeliner smudges.

FACE POWDER MAKEUP TIPS

  • Use Translucent Loose Powder to set the makeup using a large soft brush and dusting over the face quickly in a downward motion. If the skin is more mature just use powder in the T-Zone of forehead, nose and chin.

EYE MAKEUP TIPS

  1. Use eye shadows to reflect your every mood. With a bit of practice you can easily master how to apply your eye shadow. When applying eye shadow, remember that dark colors recede features and light colors highlight.
  2. Apply the lightest shade over the entire eyelid.
  3. Apply the medium shade on the lower eyelid.
  4. Apply the darkest shade in the outer corner of the eye to create depth.
  5. Apply eyeliner with short strokes, starting form the center of the eye and working towards the corners.
  6. Mascara finishes your makeup. If you have dark eyes use black, navy, dark brown or clear mascara.
  7. Dark eye shadow can be used as eyeliner as well. Use a very flat brush, wet is and dip it in dark eye shadow. Wriggle the brush into your lash line paying special attention to the space between the lashes and then use the color just above your lash line.

LIP COLOR MAKEUP TIPS

  1. Choose a lipstick which reflects your personal psyche. There are 48 colors from which to choose in your range.
  2. Use a lip brush when applying lipstick. It will not only help define the contours of your mouth, but also helps to control the amount of color that is applied.
  3. Applying powder lightly over the lips before applying lipstick helps it to stay on longer.
  4. Use Vitamin E Stick under your lipstick to condition and protect your lips from becoming chapped and dry.
  5. Use Lip Gloss alone to give a light, natural but finished look or over your lipstick to enhance its color.
  6. For easy lipstick stain removal, apply glycerine to affected area and wash as usual.
  7. To prevent your lips from feeling dry when you apply matte lipstick, apply lip balm on your lips before start your make up. By the time you do your eyes and the rest of the face your lips would have absorbed the balm and will be ready for the matte lipstick.
  8. To make lipstick last for longer shade your lips with lip liner before you apply lipstick.

NAIL COLOR MAKEUP TIPS

  1. Select a nail polish to match the general tones of your makeup. For instance if you used natural shades on your eyes, lips and cheeks, then your nail color should also be natural.
  2. If you have applied nail polish in a sloppy fashion, then just soak your nails once they are dry in warm water for a few minutes and them rub off the extra nail polish with a finger.
