Darier's Disease is a chronis skin disorder. Darier's Disease is a comman condition which can occur in any age group. Darier's Disease is an autosomal dominantly inherited skin disorder, characterized by loss of adhesion between epidermak cells and abnormal keratinization. Darier's Disease is an autosmoal dominant disease that typically arises during the first or second decades of life. It involves the abnormal keratinization of the epidermis, moucosa and nails.

Treatment of Darier's Disease

1. Use of sunscreens.
2. Avoidance of frictions or mechanical irritations.
3. Use Topical retinoids - tazarotene, adapalene.
4. Systemic retinoids - isotretinoin or acitretin may induce temporary remission.
5. Topical and systemic antibiotics to treat secondary bacterial infections.
6. Hypertrophic lesions may be treated with dermabrasion, excision and grafting, or laser excision.
